Corporate Services
There are two things I love doing more than just about anything else. They are:
- Coaching people
- Helping other people learn how to coach their people
My corporate background is filled with experience of organizational change, and performance improvement through people development. Coaching is the backbone of all of these things.
My approach is professional, based on solid processes and sound theories, and best practice, but also emphasizes the human, down to earth, fun element in any kind of corporate initiative to change people’s behaviors. (What? You don’t think it should be fun? I beg to differ!) I believe when you tap into the heart of people, and connect with their humanity, change comes naturally. But it takes a very special person to make that connection. That’s what I do best!
I work mainly with public sector organizations, charities, not-for profits, and volunteer organizations. I know how to leverage the heart and purpose-driven people who work in these organizations in order to get the very best of them, and improve the organization through them. And I know the specific types of issues these organizations encounter such as funding, complexity of stakeholders, and the challenges of motivating a workforce that can’t be compensated for their efforts anywhere near what they are actually worth.
Here are the types of things I can help with on a contractual, short-term basis:
-
Strategic Planning
-
Board Development
-
Leadership Development
-
Employee (or Volunteer) engagement initiatives
-
Organizational Change projects
-
Team Building
-
Launching internal coaching programs
My special technical skills are in facilitation, project management, hosting World Cafe-type events, and developing training on a wide variety of topics.
